Super Real Estate Agent 2006

Recommended by homebuyers or sellers, then screened by a panel of real estate experts, this year's list of 859 agents includes some of the best in the industry. The list is not based on sales volumes or advertising, and it is not a ranking. Super Real Estate Agents have been selected because they provide outstanding client satisfaction. There are more than 26,561 licensed real estate agents in Minnesota, so narrowing down the list is no simple task. The research process alone takes more than five months to complete, and planning begins right after the first of the year for a list that's published in late November. This year alone, more than 120,000 recent homebuyers, mortgage and title companies, subscribers to Twin Cities Business Monthly and Mpls. St Paul Magazine, and previous Super Real Estate Agents were asked to participate in the research process by casting a nomination. Surveys were based on nine criteria: communication, integrity, marketing the home, closing preparation, over all satisfaction, and finding the right home. In the end more than 350,000 pieces of data were used to select the final list of agents, who were then checked against State of Minnesota and Wisconsin databases for disciplinary actions. Finally, a panel of real estate industry leaders reviewed the list, and their comments and suggestions were used to arrive at the final list of Super Real Estate Agents. The final list represents 3.2 percent of the real estate agents in Minnesota. While all of the agents on the list are licensed, they are not all necessarily members of the National Association of Realtors, which is associated with the REALTOR designation. Members of NAR adhere to its particular code of ethics. More than half of those of the list are Super Real Estate Agents for the second time, and 121 of them are three-time winners of the designation.
